Five complete games in one. A knight, his shovel and a world of pixel-perfect platforming across four grand adventures.

In a fantasy kingdom, a brave knight and his partner Shield Knight are inseparable — until a cursed amulet traps her and leaves Shovel Knight alone. To get her back, he must fight through the enchanted lands guarded by the Order of No Quarter, a roster of eight eccentric and powerful knights serving the villainous Enchantress. His weapon is a shovel. It is more than enough.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is the complete edition of one of the most celebrated indie games of the 2010s — a collection of five full campaigns set in the same pixel-art world, each playing differently and telling its own story. Shovel of Hope is the original game: a precise NES-era platformer in the tradition of Mega Man and DuckTales, where Shovel Knight bounces off enemies with his downward shovel strike and uses collected relics to navigate inventive dungeons. Plague of Shadows follows the Order's own Plague Knight, who plays as a bomb-lobbing aerial maniac. Specter of Torment is a prequel following the wall-running Specter Knight. King of Cards adds card-game mechanics alongside King Knight's pompous combat. Shovel Knight Showdown is a four-player local versus mode. All campaigns were originally free updates to owners of the base game. The game is consistently cited as a standard-bearer for what 8-bit-inspired indie platformers can achieve. Jake Kaufman's soundtrack can be played on a real NES/Famicom.
