Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a collection of complete HD remakes of the original three Spyro the Dragon PlayStation games — Spyro the Dragon (1998), Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! (1999) and Spyro: Year of the Dragon (2000) — developed by Toys for Bob following the enormous success of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. All three games were originally created by Insomniac Games and published by Sony for the PlayStation 1, and are widely considered among the finest platformers of the PS1 era. The Reignited Trilogy rebuilds each game from scratch using Unreal Engine 4 with faithful level geometry, expanded environmental detail, expressive character animation, improved controls and a fully remixed and re-recorded soundtrack by original composer Stewart Copeland.
