Cortex and N. Tropy have shattered space-time. Crash and Coco must collect the Quantum Masks.

Following their defeat in Crash Bandicoot: Warped, Doctor Neo Cortex and N. Tropy have escaped their prison by tearing open a rift in space-time. Their plan: use the multiverse's fractures to conquer every dimension at once. Four ancient Quantum Masks have scattered across the timeline. Crash and Coco must find them before Cortex and N. Tropy remake existence in their image.

Crash Bandicoot 4 is a direct narrative sequel to the original Naughty Dog trilogy, developed by Toys for Bob — the studio behind the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remasters — as a full original platformer in the classic mould. Levels are handcrafted linear gauntlets through vividly realised alternate dimensions: prehistoric jungles, neon-drenched cyberpunk cities, pirate coves floating in impossible skies. Each of four Quantum Masks grants a distinct power: slowing time, inverting gravity, phasing between dimensions, spinning through solid obstacles. Four playable characters — Crash, Coco, Dingodile and Tawna — each have their own movement style and level set. N.Verted mode remixes every level with a visual filter and mirrored layout for a second playthrough. Flashback Tapes hide in levels as collectibles unlocking side stages set in Cortex's past experiments. Local co-op supports hotseat multiplayer. No microtransactions of any kind.
