Guild Wars 2 is a free-to-play MMORPG that distinguishes itself from the genre through several deliberate design choices. Dynamic events replace static questing: the world around the player is constantly in motion, with battles, invasions, escorts and sieges unfolding regardless of whether a player is present to trigger them.
