Gang Beasts is a silly multiplayer party game with surly gelatinous characters.

Welcome to Beef City, a strange and violent urban sprawl populated entirely by gelatinous blob creatures with no dignity, no plan and an apparent death wish. They fight on rooftops, truck beds, fairground rides, train cars, cranes and sea platforms. The goal is always the same: be the last one on the stage. The means are entirely up to physics.

Gang Beasts is a party brawler built entirely on physicsbased character animation. The fighters are soft, rubbery and have no reliable control over their own limbs — punching, grabbing, headbutting and body-slamming all have physical momentum that carries into unexpected places. Holding the grab button clutches the nearest part of whatever the character is touching, which can mean grabbing a rival's face and refusing to let go while both of you dangle over a fatal drop. Costumes are cosmetic and absurd: the hotdog suit, the chicken, the rubber duck outfit are all available. Stages include moving vehicles, fairground rides and environmental hazards that are entirely indifferent to the wellbeing of all parties. Melee mode is a free-for-all. Gang mode sets two teams against each other with cooperative objectives. Up to eight players online or locally. First published as a free alpha in February 2014, Gang Beasts spent three years in Early Access before its full release. Boneloaf has continued updating it ever since, adding new stages and costumes.
