A thousand years from now, the Earth is unrecognisable. Horizon Zero Dawn is an open-world action RPG built around one of gaming's most inventive conceits — hunting mechanical animals with primitive tools. Every machine has components to study, override, strip or exploit. A bow and a handful of different arrow types become a deeply tactical toolkit. The Remastered edition rebuilds the game's visuals from the ground up: reworked character models and cinematics, overhauled lighting and environments, enhanced texture and shadow quality. The Frozen Wilds DLC — a standalone chapter set in a northern mountain region with new machines and story — is included.
