The Callisto Protocol is a third-person survival horror game from Striking Distance Studios — the debut title from the studio formed by Glen Schofield, the creator of the Dead Space series, and widely regarded as Dead Space's spiritual successor. Set in the year 2320 on Callisto, Jupiter's dead moon, the game follows Jacob Lee (voiced by Josh Duhamel), a cargo ship pilot captured and imprisoned against his will in Black Iron Prison. When a mysterious biophage outbreak transforms the prison population into horrific mutant creatures, Jacob must fight through increasingly nightmarish environments to uncover the dark secrets of the United Jupiter Company and find a way to survive.
