Axiom Verge 2 is the solo-developed sequel to Axiom Verge — made entirely by Tom Happ, an American developer whose first game took five years to build and became a benchmark for indie Metroidvania. The sequel is a completely new entry: new characters, new powers, new world and a new protagonist. You play as Indra Chaudhari, a billionaire founder of the Globe 3 megacorporation, who receives a mysterious message promising to reunite her with her missing daughter if she travels to Antarctica. There she discovers what appears to be an ancient alternate Earth, hidden in a cargo lift, complete with mountains, lakes, deserts and the ruins of a lost civilisation.
